The Beauty In Construction

Construction in all its prime glory, big, busy and planned out to the last detail. The line orientation in this photo is exciting, a maths teachers dream, straight lines and waves everywhere, and then all that yellow in the scaffolding. On first impressions, being a quick view, the yellow looked not so much like scaffolding as completed building facade and for one glorious moment I thrilled at the thought developers had opted for personality in their designs. Now this does happen sometimes, but not nearly enough with the old issue being that money comes first. When factors are reprioritized, we run the chance of being gifted visual harmony for the rest of time. Can we go past the Gaudi collection? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Gaud%C3%AD_buildings. Like them or not, the Gaudi buildings are made for dreaming. One of them, possibly the Casa Batlló happens to be the partial setting of a favourite film of mine, The Passenger, from 1975 starring Jack Nicholson and Maria Schneider. Suddenly I'm lost in memory of Maria's voice in that movie, in the skyline of this photo above, and one hundred other symphonies life is throwing up at me.
